Police investigators arrested two minors under suspicion of setting a number of brush fires in the Jerusalem area in recent months.

While being interrogated by officers in the youth department, one of the suspects reportedly confessed to setting a number of fires. Police said he also implicated another youth who later confessed to setting one of the fires in the Arnona area that burned three vehicles and resulted in the evacuation of residents.

One of the youths was released on bail and police said they would bring the other to the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court Wednesday morning for a remand extension hearing.
