LONDON - British police were involved in a stand-off with a man threatening to blow himself up at London's Heathrow Airport, Sky News reported on Thursday.

"We are dealing with the security alert at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 and a small section of the terminal building has been cordoned off as a precaution," a spokesman for London's Metropolitan Police said.

The spokesman told Reuters he could not confirm the Sky report.
