Police served eight indictments Sunday against members of a crime cell suspected of murder, attempted murder and other violent offenses, Army Radio reported.

Hagai Zagouri, brother of the gang’s leader, is suspected of ordering a hit on former soccer player Eli Uzan.

The group is also suspected of running illegal gambling houses and collecting debts through blackmail and other illegal means.

Police asked to extend the remand of all eight members of the gang until the investigation ends.
