Police question Afula officials over bribery suspicions

Police detained senior officials in the Afula Municipality on suspicion of bribery and breaching the public's trust on Wednesday, Israel Radio reported.

Officers from northern branch of the Israel Police's national fraud unit detained the officials after a months-long undercover investigation. Police suspect the officials accepted bribes in exchange for advancing land and real estate deals, according to the report.
