CAIRO - A bombardment by forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi of the western city of Misrata killed five people and wounded more than 20, a rebel spokesman in the city told Al Jazeera satellite channel on Monday.
"This morning around 2 a.m. there was a big explosion in Misrata," spokesman Abdel Basset Mezerik told Al Jazeera.
Rebels said Gaddafi's forces bombarded the city through the morning. "Five people were killed and more than 20 were injured from the random attack by Gaddafi's forces," said Mezerik.
