A 7-year-old Palestinian boy in the Gaza Strip has died from wounds he sustained during an IDF strike on terrorist operations in the coastal territory this past weekend, Gaza news portal Al Resalah reported.

The boy was injured in an Israeli air strike in an eastern part of Gaza City, which is the largest city in the Palestinian territories.

The death of Birka Salama Al-Maghrabi increased the Palestinian death toll resulting from the escalation of violence in Gaza - which surged after an Israeli assassination of a terrorist leader last Friday - to 27.
