The authors of the controversial book Torat Hamelech, rabbis Yitzhak Shapira and Yaakov Elitzur are among the thousands of residents of Judea and Samaria who have recently joined Likud, Channel 10 revealed Thursday night.

Shapira was arrested for incitement, because he wrote in the book that it is permissible for Jews to kill non-Jews (including children) who threaten Israel. The list of Likud members also includes Yoram Shkolnik, who is in jail for killing an Arab.
