Rocket fired from Gaza lands in Beersheba; building damaged

A Palestinian rocket fired from Gaza landed in Beersheba overnight Friday, activating air raid sirens and sending residents fleeing for cover.

Police said that the rocket caused damage to a building. No injuries were reported.

A further rocket that was fired at the same time towards the city was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.
