Rumors of August launch for Better Place car sales denied

Despite reports from Globes and Yediot Aharonot on Tuesday morning saying that Better Place will begin selling its electric cars to Israeli customers in August, the company denied that it had set an official date at this time.
“We have not announced when we launch presale for the Fluence Z.E. – this is speculation as we have not confirmed that timing at this point,” spokeswoman Julie Mullins told The Jerusalem Post.
At the launch of its Kiryat Ekron battery switching station on March 23, Better Place CEO Shai Agassi said that the company will begin selling the cars to customers this year, and that they will be delivered by the end of the year, but he did not specify the exact date.
