Likud minister Gideon Sa'ar praised on Thursday the reported move to merge the Likud party with Yisrael Beytenu.
"This move will sharpen the debate between Right and Left in the upcoming elections," Sa'ar said.
"It has potential to significantly strengthen the ability to govern, and to deal with the great challenges Israel is facing," Sa'ar added.
