The Schalit family held a press conference for journalists in Tel Aviv on Monday to mark four years since their son, Gilad, was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists from Gaza.

Noam Schalit spoke at the beginning of the conference, expressing his disappointment with the failure to free his son over the past four years despite the constant efforts of the Israeli government to find a solution.

"This week marks four years, 1450 days, since the capture of Gilad," said Noam Schalit. He continued, " four years, two governments, two prime ministers, two defense ministers and two IDF chiefs of staff" have tried and failed to make a deal to free Gilad.
