Indiana's Purdue University on Tuesday said a shooting had been reported at its electrical engineering building on campus and that police had taken one person into custody.

Campus officials said on Twitter they had ordered students, faculty and staff across campus to shelter in place while police continued to search the area.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone had been wounded.
