Sirens to sound in north

October 18, 2009 10:53

Two sirens will be sounded throughout northern Israel on Sunday. The sirens will be heard in the Karmiel area at 11 a.m. and in Acre and other Western Galilee communities at 2 p.m. The exercise will simulate alarms sounded during emergencies and in wartime, and will last a minute and a half. In the event that a genuine alarm will be necessary, the siren will stopped.
