AMMAN - Syria's Kurds will continue a
nonviolent struggle for civic rights and democracy to replaceautocratic rule despite a decree to grant disenfranchised Kurdscitizenship, Kurdish leader Habib Ibrahim said on Thursday. "Our cause is democracy for the whole of Syria. Citizenshipis the right of every Syrian. It is not a favor. It is not theright of anyone to grant," Ibrahim, who heads the DemocraticUnity Kurdish Party, told Reuters.
