The Foreign Ministry announced two top appointments on Thursday.

Israel's current ambassador to India, Alon Ushpiz, will replace the recently retired Ran Curiel as the ministry's deputy-director general for diplomacy, while Israel's envoy to Australia Yuval Rotem will replace Gideon Meir, who also recently retired, as deputy director-general for public diplomacy.
