Tourism minister urges Israelis to boycott Turkey

JERUSALEM — Israel's tourism minister on Sunday urged Israelis to stop traveling to Turkey.

Stas Mesezhnikov called for the travel boycott after the Israeli press reported Turkey has classified Israel as a "strategic threat."Mesezhnikov said Sunday that ties with Turkey are important to Israel. But said it must be "boycotted totally as a tourism destination" for the national honor.
