UN peacekeeper arrested for allegedly smuggling hashish

An United Nations peacekeeper from the Philippines was arrested by police in the Golan on Monday after attempting to smuggling hashish from Syria into Israel. 

The peacekeeper was arrested near the Kuneitra after three kilograms of hashish was found in his military-issued vehicle which had entered Israel from Syria at the crossing.

The peacekeeper will be arraigned Tuesday morning at Nazareth Magistrate's Court.
