Labor party leader Shelly Yacimovich said on Wednesday that Israel is united in the war against terrorism, and will stand by the army in its operation to target Hamas and Islamic Jihad.

Responding to the targeted killing of Hamas's military leader Ahmed Jabari, Yacimovich stated: "Jabari was the arch-terrorist of the extremist Hamas organization."

She added that he has the "blood of many Israelis on his hands," and that after his constant shooting at residents of the South, harming him was "justified."

Yacimovich stated that now is the time to "act responsibly in consultation with the United States and the international community to put an end to the escalation of violence."
