Opposition leader Shelly Yacimovich (Labor) criticized Finance Minister Yair Lapid on Tuesday morning for a mistake he made in noting the deficit the country faces.
In a Facebook post, the Labor leader notes that while the finance minister claimed in a speech in the Knesset on Monday that the deficit is NIS 35 billion, it is in fact NIS 42 billion.
"Enormous error or unbearable ignorance of Finance Minister Lapid?" she asked her Facebook followers.
Yacimovich went on to describe several examples of things that can be done with the NIS 7 billion that Lapid left out, including budgeting higher education, hospitals and supporting small businesses.
