Interior Minister Eli Yishai (Shas) said the issue of segregating women is a phenomenon that appears only in a small segment of the population, according to Israel Radio Tuesday.
"We have to find a way to live together without imposing religious or secular ways," the interior minister said.
His comments came after the Ministerial Committee on the Status of Women met to legislate new guidelines for the treatment of women in public spaces, including a hotline for women hassled on so-called gender segregated buses.
