B'tselem opens Washington branch to upgrade advocacy efforts

The Israeli human rights organization B'tselem has opened a Washington branch in order to upgrade its advocacy efforts and create an American presence.
The organization will be headed by Mitchell Plitnick, formerly of Jewish Voice for Peace, who said that American support for Israel must also include support for human rights, during a Capitol Hill reception in honor of the new office.
