Bush: Best solution is a negotiated final status

US President George W. Bush said at a press conference Tuesday following his first official meeting with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert since the latter became prime minister that the best solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one in which there is a negotiated final status. Bush said that he was willing to "advance the process," and commended Olmert's "willingness to take the lead, desire to follow through on the vision." "The most important aspect of peace is the ability to envision peace," the president said. "Two democratic states side by side - that's possible," he declared.
