President George W. Bush says the United States will continue to face the threat of terror, and its best response is to "keep the pressure on constantly."
The president spoke after getting a briefing at the highly secure National Counterterrorism Center in McLean, Virginia, a Washington suburb. The interagency center is the primary hub of analysis for intelligence related to foreign and domestic terror.
The president thanked employees for their work. Bush said the challenge of confronting terror through surveillance and intelligence analysis will continue for a while.
Bush's visit was part of a final swing through federal agencies before his presidential tenure ends next month.
