Colombian army finds ton of explosives in house outside capital

Colombia's military says it has found more than a ton of explosives in a house in a rural area outside the capital.
Gen. Luis Perez Arango says the ton of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil was discovered in the town of Bojaca, 20 miles (30 kilometers) west of Bogota.
Perez says the explosives apparently belonged to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia who may have been planning to use them to carry out attacks in the capital. No arrests were made during Friday's operation.
Perez said Saturday that Colombia's military is on alert for reprisal attacks by the guerrillas following Wednesday's liberation of 15 rebel-held hostages, including former presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three US military contractors.
