Czechs pay homage to envoy killed in Pakistan terror attack

Czech Foreign ministry spokeswoman Zuzana Opletalova said the body of a diplomat who died in the ruins of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad was aboard a military plane and was expected to arrive in Prague later Monday. One month into his mission as ambassador to Pakistan, Ivo Zdarek was staying temporarily at the Marriott when it was hit by an explosion that killed him and at least 52 others. The Czech government observed a minute of silence in memory of the slain ambassador. The country's leaders were expected to greet the coffin at the Prague airport.
