Danish, British and US forces drive Taliban from Afghan village

The Danish military on Sunday reported its forces in Afghanistan have driven the Taliban from a village in a three-day operation that killed an undisclosed number of insurgents. According to the report, 400 Danish, British and Afghan soldiers took part in the Danish-led offensive that ended Sunday in the Mirmandab area in the Helmand province. Military press officer Hans Vedholm would not say how many Taliban fighters were killed. The military said no Danish soldiers were wounded in the operation, which was supported by US, British and Dutch air forces
