Heavy casualties reported in eastern China train collision

A pre-dawn collision between two passenger trains in eastern China has caused heavy casualties, state media reported. The exact number of casualties from from Monday's accident was not immediately known. Xinhua News Agency says the crash happened about 4:40 a.m. in the city of Zibo in Shandong province. It quotes witnesses as saying a passenger train from Beijing to coastal Qingdao city derailed and hit another train, causing "heavy casualties."
