Indian officials concerned about US nuclear deal

Talks over a landmark nuclear agreement between India and the United States have been slowed by a series of "complex issues," a top Indian diplomat said in comments broadcast Tuesday. Speaking to a private Indian news channel in New York, India's junior foreign minister, Anand Sharma, acknowledged hurdles in talks over the March 2006 agreement, which gives India access to American know-how in civilian nuclear technology.
