Mudslide in China's southwest kills twelve

A mudslide triggered by heavy rains killed 12 people and wrecked scores of houses in China's mountainous west, a news report said Saturday. Another 18 people were injured and 340 forced from their wrecked homes by the disaster Friday in Garze, an ethnic Tibetan region of Sichuan province, the Xinhua News Agency said.
