Official: French troops wound 4 civilians in Kabul

French NATO troops opened fire on a minibus filled with Afghan civilians, wounding four, near the Afghan capital on Thursday, Kabul's police chief said. The French military convoy was traveling east from Kabul toward Surobi when the minibus cut in between two of the NATO vehicles, said Gen. Mohammad Ayub Salangi, the Kabul's police chief. The troops then opened fire on the minibus and four civilians were wounded, Salangi said. They then took the wounded to a French military base for treatment, he said, adding that none was in critical condition. NATO's press office said it was aware of an incident but could not provide any details.
