Pakistan: 15 killed as power line hits train

Dozens of people sitting on the roof of a crowded passenger train were hit by an overhead power transmission line in southern Pakistan on Sunday, killing 15 people and injuring at least 40 others, a Cabinet minister said. Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that the "tragic" accident occurred near the town of Sukkur in Pakistan's southern Sindh province. The fatalities and injuries were caused as people were either electrocuted or tossed off the top of the moving train after they hit the high voltage power line, Ahmed said.
