Suicide bomber kills 3 Afghans in attempt against international troops

An Afghan police chief says a suicide car bomber attacked international troops in Helmand province, killing three Afghan civilians. Helmand provincial police chief Mohammad Hussein Andiwal says the suicide car bomber exploded near a military convoy in Gereshk district, killing three civilians and wounding seven others. Andiwal says he has no information on the status of the military forces. A spokesman at NATO's International Security Assistance Force says he has no immediate information. Most troops in Helmand are British, but small teams of US Special Forces soldiers also operate there.
