Suicide bomber kills two Afghan doctors in south

A police chief said on Sunday that a suicide bomber has killed two Afghan doctors working for a United Nations' agency in southern Afghanistan. Matiullah Khan, the police chief for the Kandahar province, said the blast in Spin Boldak of the southern Kandahar province also wounded 10 civilians and five Afghan guards protecting the doctor's convoy. He added that the victims worked for the UN's World Health Organization. Adrian Edwards, the chief UN spokesman in Afghanistan said that the organization was aware of the report, but that he could not confirm the details.
