The US military said on Sunday that two American soldiers in Iraq had died of causes unrelated to combat.
The military said only that both soldiers died Sunday and were assigned to Multi-National Division - Center. That division operates south of Baghdad.
A statement said one of the soldiers died of wounds at a US medical facility.
Both cases are under investigation. The names of the soldiers are being withheld until relatives are notified.
