US military says soldier killed by roadside bomb in Iraq

A roadside bomb killed a US soldier in Iraq, the military said Monday. The Multi-National Division - North soldier was killed and two others wounded Sunday when the blast struck a US vehicle, according to a brief statement that provided no further details. Identities were not released pending notification of relatives. The death raised to at least 3,960 members of the US military who have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.
