AIPAC: Sanctions are important to 'rachet up' pressure on Iran

AIPAC expressed support for the US Department of Treasury imposing sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and its 18 affiliated companies for aiding the rogue activities of the regime in Teheran, according to AIPAC spokesman Josh Block.
"AIPAC strongly supports these steps which are part of a coordinated effort by the United States and the international community to ratchet up the pressure on Iran and convince it to suspend its illicit nuclear activities," he said.
"These steps send an important signal that America continues to lead the effort to confront and stop Iran's nuclear pursuit."
