Iranian-American academic leaves Iran after spending 3 months in jail

An Iranian-American academic, who spent three months behind bars before being released on bail in August, has left Iran overnight, her lawyer said on Monday.
"Haleh Esfandiari obtained her passport and took a flight from Teheran to an unknown destination, probably Austria. She left Teheran last night," Abdol Fattah Soltani told The Associated Press.
