In the letter, the US president described the Memorandum of Understanding as having been violated by Iran following its attacks on commercial vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.
The UAE Defense Ministry said the country retained its full right to respond and take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and security.
"The Strait of Hormuz is a vital maritime corridor for global trade. Iran does not control it," CENTCOM said following its strikes on dozens of Iranian targets.
"During the five-hour mission, CENTCOM forces employed precision munitions against Iranian coastal defense systems, missile and drone sites, and maritime capabilities," it announced.
Initially, the US undertook limited targeted counterstrikes at Iranian assets around Hormuz to convince Iran to back down.
Information, including from The Jerusalem Post's own Western sources, indicates that Mossad sought to replace Ali Khamenei with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
For years, Israel conducted a covert operation aimed at recruiting former Iranian president Ahmadinejad as an intelligence asset and, at a later stage, even planned to install him as Iran’s leader.
The reported explosions came hours after US Central Command announced that American forces had completed a wave of strikes against Iran in the early morning hours of Monday.
"In the end, the campaign we set out on to weaken the Iranian regime and deny it the ability to reach nuclear weapons is currently focused on an event that was not the event before the war," he said.
