2 IDF soldiers indicted for alleged prisoner abuse

Two IDF soldiers accused of abusing three Palestinian prisoners were indicted on Thursday. Last June, one of the soldiers came to the guard tower at the Kalandia checkpoint north of Jerusalem and offered to relieve the guard on watch. When left alone with the Palestinian prisoners, the soldier allegedly threatened to murder one of them, and beat all three with the butt of his rifle. The next soldier who arrived for duty allegedly continued the abuse until a military police officer arrived and stopped him, Army Radio reported.
