Two parents, residents of the Ahiezer settlement, are suspected of beating and abusing their four children aged eight, four, two and one, police said Thursday.
The incident came to light after the wife filed a complaint against her husband for violence against the kids.
In the course of the woman's testimony, interrogators became suspicious that she too may have been involved in the abuse.
Both husband and wife were brought in for further questioning.
Two of the couple's children were also interrogated and their testimony provided evidence to support the suspected abuse.
The couple is suspected of both physical, verbal and sexual abuse. Their remand extension hearing will take place in Rishon Lezion on Friday.
