Ashkenazi appoints new media relations chief in IDF Spokesperson's Office.

IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi appointed Col. Ofer Kol on Wednesday to head up the new position of media relations chief in the IDF Spokesperson's Office.
Kol, who served in the past as spokesman to Friends of the IDF and the Environment Ministry, returned to full service recently and will oversee the IDF's dealings with the local and foreign press.
