Former prime minister Ehud Barak said Wednesday that he works "day and night" so that Vice Premier Shimon Peres will get reelected as Labor Party chairman.
"He is the right person to gather around at this time, said Barak, who according to polls has little chance of winning the chairmanship.
He added that the "real Labor public" stands behind Shimon Peres.
