Bennie Begin, who recently announced his return to the Likud Party, said Thursday in an interview with the Knesset Channel, "Many people know that nothing will come of negotiations with the Palestinians. It is impossible to reach an agreement with them in the current reality, to my chagrin." "Israel is a strong country", he added "and there are clear threats that must be dealt with." "Kadima is willing to negotiate, including on Jerusalem. The Likud is not. We know that it will not bring results. We know that nothing will come of it. There is no dividing Jerusalem. I am convinced of this. The Likud wants peace but we cannot ignore the reality," he went on.
