A loud explosion was heard Friday night near the Gaza town of Khan Younis, residents said. There were no reports of casualties.
One blast hit an unpopulated area outside the Gaza town of Khan Younis. A nearly simultaneous strike by a gunship targeted a former settlement near Rafah on the Egyptian border, officials said.
IDF officials said it fired at a "terrorist training facility" in the southern Gaza, but gave no other details.
