Boy aged 17 dies from wounds after being stabbed in Haifa street

A 17-year-old boy has died from stab wounds he sustained during a Haifa streetfight on Saturday. His 30-year-old brother, also involved in the incident, was moderately wounded. The fight ensued in the city's Wadi Nisnas neighborhood where the Holiday of Holidays - a festival celebrated by Jews, Christians and Arabs - was taking place. Magen David Adom members evacuated the brothers, both residents of the nearby Zemer village, to Rambam Hospital where medical workers were unable to save the younger sibling. Police estimate that the incident was criminally-based and followed an argument between owners of market stalls in the area.
