Public Security Minister Avi Dichter formally announced his candidacy for the Kadima leadership on Tuesday evening.
Speaking at an activists' conference in Herzliya, Dichter declared, "We are all here to send a clear message: The State of Israel deserves more."
"I joined Kadima because of Sharon's vision of a different kind of politics," he
said. "I ask, where has this vision gone? Was it lost forever the day Sharon had his
stroke? We have been left with a party of posters and no content."
