Dichter orders police to increase alert level along Israel-Egypt border

Public Security Minister Avi Dichter on Thursday ordered the police to increase its level of alert long the Israel-Egypt border in the wake of the unfolding crisis at Rafah Crossing.
"Every week, some 200 people infiltrate Israel from Egypt," added Dichter, Israel Radio reported.
