Firefighters extinguishing at least 10 fires; residents evacuated

Residents were evacuated from their houses in a community next to Kiriyat Gat due to blazes in the area. Seven firefighting units are working to extinguish the fire. Residents that were not evacuated are called to stay within their houses. Another large fire rages in a storeroom of pest control materials in a community called Sde Moshe, also near Kiriyat Gat. Residents living within 200 meters of the storeroom have been advised to evacuate. Earlier Sunday, firefighters were reported to be battling at least 10 blazes that had erupted in the center of the country and in the Sharon area on Sunday afternoon as a result of the increasingly hot temperature. No casualties were reported in any of the incidents.
