Full text of Gilad Schalit's letter received by his family on June 9

Dear mother and father, my dear family; I miss you very much. Two long and difficult years have gone by since I was separated from you and forced to begin living life in conditions of detention. I continue to suffer physical and emotional health problems and many hardships which are to be found in such a life. As in my previous letters, I hope that your physical and emotional health has not been harmed since you began to live without me. I continue to think and dream of the day when I will be released and see you again and I still have hope that that day is approaching. But I know this doesn't depend on me or you. I appeal to the government not to abandon the negotiations for my release and not to direct its efforts only to the release of the soldiers in Lebanon. I miss you, Gilad.
