Maj.Gen.(Res.) Amos Gilad, head of the Defense Ministry's foreign policy department, said Sunday that while a military operation against Iran's nuclear facilities could not be ruled out, he denied the assertions made in a Sunday Times article that Israel planned to attack Iran in March 2006.
Gilad told Israel Radio that an international diplomatic effort was underway to put a stop to the Iranian nuclear threat.
